Jazzmin James  

Jazzmin grew up training at Elite Danceworx, where she received a diverse dance education. She was named both the Teen and Senior Best Dancer at The Dance Awards and has worked on films and TV shows including, The Next Step, Degrassi and Backstage. She has also performed in Travis Wall’s show, Hollow Suit and in Janet Jackson’s Toronto concert. In 2018, she began her professional training in the Arts Umbrella graduate program in Vancouver, BC, under the direction of Artemis Gordon. During her time there she has had the privilege to perform works by choreographers such as Johan Inger, Crystal Pite, Sharon Eyal and Mats Ek. She has also been able to work with artists including, Lesley Telford, Fernando Hernando Magadan, and Medhi Walerski . Jazzmin has furthered her dance education during intensives at Complexions Contemporary Ballet and the Banff Centre. Currently, Jazzmin is continuing her professional training and teaching dance and yoga.
