Tyler Hutchings
Tyler Hutchings is an accomplished multifaceted dancer/choreographer who graduated from Elite Danceworx where he trained in various styles. Tyler has since parlayed his experience into choreography and acting.
Tyler developed his choreography skills by creating pieces at McMaster University where he was the Head Captain for the competitive team. He has won multiple choreography awards and first-overall placings for his works at Ontario University competitions. Tyler has since graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Minor in Psychology.
Most recently, Tyler successfully created his own independent full-length contemporary dance production titled “WHOLE NEW WOLRD” (2023) that performed in Toronto for three nights at the Winchester Street Theatre. Tyler was also recently selected as a choreographer for the community showcases Fever After Dark "RIP" (2023) & "Throwback" (2022) and Unite Dance Showcase "Roulette" (2023) which highlight Toronto's emerging choreographers. Tyler was a dancer in the contemporary dance show "Come On Dreamer" (2022) directed by Brooke Gilmour in the supporting lead role of "Father" and was also the show's Music Editor/Producer.
Tyler is grateful to have had the opportunity to work on a variety of Film/TV productions. Tyler had a principal Actor/Dancer role as the character Robby G in the Netflix film “Work It” (2020) which went to #1 on the North American Netflix charts upon release. Tyler has also worked on 4 seasons of Family Channel’s "The Next Step”, the Disney film "Sneakerella" (2022) and the Netflix short film "Forgive Us Our Trespasses" (2022). Tyler used his experience in the film industry to create and release two dance films; "DETOUR" (2020) and PERPLEX (2022) which can be found on his YouTube Channel.
Tyler continues to be a freelance Dance Teacher dedicated to spreading his passion for dance across Canada. With a dynamic teaching style and a deep love for the art form, he's inspiring students of all ages to explore their creativity through movement. Tyler is helping to shape the next generation of dancers and fostering a vibrant dance community.
